“You gonna be in there much longer?” Tommy sighed, tapping his knuckles against the bathroom door.
“I’m almost done,” Megan called, studying her reflection in the mirror. She keened softly as she noticed a bright red zit growing on her chin. She was certain it hadn’t been there when she’d come in.
“Your hair is fine.”
“You haven’t seen my hair!”
“Yeah, but it’s still fine. Come on!”
“Patience is a virtue, Tommy.”
“Since when have you been interested in my virtues, babe?”
“Just a few more minutes, Tommy, I promise!” She winced as she squeezed the zit, then wiped what was left with a medicated pad before layering on concealer.
“If we don’t hurry, we’re gonna be stuck being elves for the Christmas thing. Now, you’d be a cute elf, but me? Not so much.”
