Zane Yama took a deep breath and cleaned his glasses on the edge of his shirt. He then pushed his glasses back up his nose and exhaled sharply. “What. Happened. To. My. Powers?” he asked slowly, grinding his teeth slightly.
Dormagus shrugged, tugging the hood of his sweatshirt up over his white streaked hair. “I don’t know. I’m working on it. You’re not the only one this is happening to, you know.”
Zane raked his hands through his hair. “I know, I saw Thunderstrike and Thena. He almost got killed when… whatever this is… started happening, and she’s practically incoherent.”
“I know, I know. I’m going to check out a few things, and I’ll let you know what’s going on as soon as I know something, alright? Go home, get some rest or something.” Dormagus dug his hands into his pockets, feeling for his cell phone.
“Promise you’ll tell me if you learn anything?” Zane asked.
“I promise. Go..”
Dormagus watched the boy walk away, waiting until he was sure Zane was gone before pulling out his cell phone. “Reilly? It’s me. Meet me at the store. I need your help on something.”
