Felicity made a disgusted noise as she and her brother watched May Parker and Wes walk off. “Needy much?” she asked, knowing perfectly well that she was coming off as completely snotty. “Did you have to talk to her friend like that?”
“Wes doesn’t need to be hanging around my girl,” Gene said with a small growl, turning and shutting his locker with a slam. “He doesn’t want to be her friend, he just wants into her pants.”
“So you get to pick who she hangs out with?” the girl asked, falling into step beside her brother as he walked away.
“She’s my girlfriend.”
“But she’s not your property,” Felicity retorted.
