Three weeks after the dance, someone tried to blow up the school. Apparently, there were people who hated the idea of mutants attending Bayville High enough that they were more than willing to kill human kids to get rid of the mutants. At least, that was the most prevalent theory after the fact.

Not that Wanda really gave a flying rats ass about those other kids at the moment. Her powers had kept her from being crushed under the rubble, but she was alone and trapped somewhere in the basement, surrounded by rubble… in the dark.

She whimpered, and the rubble trembled.

Wanda? Wanda, can you hear me?

The voice was too deep, too male to be Jean’s, and it sounded too young to be Xavier. And sheknew she was alone, so it had to be a telepath. “W-who’s there?”

It’s Jono. Relax, we’re on our way to get you. I’m right here, and you’re not alone.

“It’s dark down here,” she said without meaning to, sounding small and lost. She hated herself for that.

I know, pet. But you’ll be out here soon, and you’re not alone. We aren’t going to leave you.

“You’re talking,” Wanda noted, her voice taking on a far away tone. “You’re a telepath.”

So they tell me, but try not to spread it around, huh? Wanda, Grey’s lifting some of this crap away. It might cause of the other crap to shift, but you’re going to be okay.
