Victor tucked his legs beneath him and glared at Xavin, then snuck a worried glance at the door. “You’re sure it’ll hold?”
The Skrull let out an annoyed grunt. “Yes.”
“Good. Now explain to me again why the others are going nuts out there.”
“It’s the Majesdanian flu.”
“And this causes…” He gestured to the rips in his clothes from where Nico had tried to strip him.
“Yes.”
“And Molly…” he glanced towards the sleeping girl.
“The hatchling lacks the physical maturity to be affected.”
Victor let out a relieved sigh. “And we’re not effected because…”
“Skrull biology provides me with a superior immune system. And you are a robot.”
“So how long until this is over?”
“About a week.”
Victor paused, taking stock of the room they were holed up in. “Oh fuck.”
