“Good God, what have they been feeding you?” Jeanne-Marie demanded, pulling back from her brother’s hug. “You are a rake! A stick! I could break you in half without even trying! This is a travesty, an outrage! Your headmistress will be hearing from me!”
“Good to see you too, Pixie.” Jean-Paul said dryly. “Done with the dramatics?”
“Never. So, where’s this mythical boyfriend of yours?” Jeanne-Maire asked, peering around in search of the elusive boy-toy.
“Peter’s getting the bags. And he can’t wait to meet you.”
“I can’t wait to meet him,” Jeanne-Marie said in a sweetly disbelieving tone.
The floor beneath the twins shook slightly as a walking pile of luggage ambled through the door. Peter set the bags down carefully, wiping his hands on his jeans. “Did you really need to pack so much?”
“But of course,” Jean-Paul said with a wave of his hand, pulling out his camera phone just in time to catch Jeanne-Marie gaping.
