“Welcome home,” Xavin said, leading Karolina out of the ship. She had to shield her eyes while she adjusted to the sudden, blinding brightness of her parent’s native planet. She grabbed Xavin’s arm and squeezed it gently.
This place wasn’t – never would be – her home. But with Xavin there… maybe she could make it a place that she loved.
