“I do not see the reason for all this fuss,” Xavin admitted as she stood in the crowd with Karolina, watching a bathtub full of hairy men wheel by.
Karolina reached up and caught a necklace of shiny, multi-colored beads flung by a man dressed up like the headmistress of the Xavier School. She draped them around Xavin’s neck with a fond smile. “It’s about loving yourself and being proud, honey.” She kissed Xavin’s cheek. “You’ve got that ‘humans are weird’ look on your face again.”
“Well, they are. They make such a fuss about inconsequential things.”
