Karolina thought that Xavin had a beautiful laugh. It was deep, for a girl’s, and throaty, and it sounded kind of like Bette Davis. It made her shiver.
And it was the only reason she was sitting through the Marx Brothers Marathon after four hours of the former vaudevillians’ antics.
Xavin was captivated, drinking the movies in like a sponge taking in water. It was like when Chase introduced her to the Three Stooges, only Xavin had been able to tear herself away from them. She found the Marx Brothers far more amusing.
Especially, oddly, Harpo.
