Summary: Xavin and Karolina are rather badly outnumbered.
Author's Notes: Part of my Refugee series. Also, I SUCK at fight scenes.
Xavin had spent her whole life fighting a way against the Majesdane people. She was a solider and a Super-Skrull; a fighter to the core.
But even all that, and having Karolina guarding her back, wasn’t enough.
The Majesdanes had been fighting the same war Xavin had, and they outnumbered Xavin and Karolina by almost twenty to one. Karolina’s friends were on the other side of the continent, and though they had been told of this attack, back up was not immanent. They were overwhelming everything Xavin and Karolina were doing to protect themselves, and Karolina had made it clear that she would not use lethal force against these people.
Even if Xavin started landing killing blows, the odds were still against them, and unlike when they had fled their wedding, these people did not have anyone or anything to distract them from their task.
“I can’t believe I’m doing this…” Something – someone small and green seemed to appear from nowhere, taking down two Majesdanes at once. Another came up behind the new addition to the fight, attacking his own people.
“Follow me!” the reptilian boy shouted, gesturing with an oversized, spiky arm.
