Jubilee had her ear pressed against Jono’s chest as she smiled slightly, meeting his eyes. “I can hear it,” she whispered.

“Yeah, it keeps thumping away,” he replied lazily, playing with her hair. It tickled his chest when she moved her head. “Weird, yeah?”

“Maybe just a little bit.” She traced the blue lines that ran along his cheeks with her fingers. “But only a little.”
