Author's Notes: A short piece set just after Jono first manifested his powers.
Jonothon closed his eyes and tried not to scream. Wasn't hard, physically. No lungs to draw in air, no throat to make the noise, no mouth to push it out of.
But mentally, it was impossible. And that was all that mattered now. His mother had run screaming from the room when he'd spoken to her, not realizing until after that his face was gone.
His cousin Evie was the one to bring him the mirror.
He'd screamed.
She'd been the last one to visit him.
He would have cried, if he could have. But that had been taken away from him, too.
So he screamed, even though he tried not to.
