“See, that wasn’t so bad,” Jubilee said, patting Jono’s shoulder. He made a frustrated noise and turned to give her an annoyed look. “It wasn’t,” she insisted, punching his arm.
“Okay, it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” Jono admitted. “Happy?”
“Getting there. You owe me ice cream.”
Jono rolled his eyes and snorted. “And you come to this conclusion… how? You drag me out here, make me do this, and now you insist I feed you. Something isn’t right.”
“Because you love me and want me to be happy.”
