“Well isn’t this something,” Jubilee said, perching on the mixing board. “My boyfriend’s got a record contract.”
“It’s not that big a deal,” Jono said, though he was clearly pleased as he ran his fingers over the strings of his guitar. “Limited release. Probably won’t get any airplay anywhere.”
“Yeah, but you’ve got an honest to God record contract. I’m, like... I’m a musician’s girlfriend. This is so cool.”
Jono leaned back in his chair and smiled. “Yeah, you are.” He grabbed Jubilee around the waist and pulled her into his lap. “And if we had more time before the rest of the guys get here, I’d say we celebrate.”
Jubilee giggled, nuzzling Jono’s ear. “Later.”
