Summary: He doesn’t really want to be on this cold, alien world.
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: I don’t own anything. You all should know this by now.
vaDanti watched the sun slowly creep over the horizon and wished that it was warmer. This planet’s star was cold and distant, and even if he stayed out in it all during the too-short day, it never really warmed him.
The distant, cold sun only served to drive home the fact that while the people on this world might look like his own people, he was far from home.
He was starting to think that he might never feel warm again.
How could these people stand it?
Maybe it was because most of them were so small and powerless. They couldn’t even fly, something he found himself pitying them for.
Not that vaDanti flew much anymore. He had to conserve his energy for when he really needed it, and it took so long for him to recharge in this weak sunlight. It was like he was only eating half of what he should to keep running.
In fact, he was eating almost twice as much as he used to in order to make up for the energy he wasn’t getting from the Earth’s sun.
