Summary: In which Nico does a little thinking while sewing up Molly’s jeans.
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: I don’t own a single thing. Partly inspired by a friend of mine and what she does when it’s time to do some repair work.
Nico spread Molly’s jeans out in front of her, then spread out a few paisley ties and measured them. Pleased with the results, she started cutting the ties up, along with the cuffs from a pair of jeans Chase had accidentally set on fire a few days before. When she was done, Molly’s jeans would cover her ankles again, and there would be a patch over the left knee, which was starting to become see through.
When it was done, the jeans would look really cute.
Hopefully, they’d last long enough for Nico to alter more of Molly’s clothes before she outgrew them completely. The young mutant was starting to grow like one of Klara’s plants, and it was getting harder and harder to keep up.
Nico accidentally stabbed her finger with a needle and winced. “Dammit.” A few drops of blood seeped into the denim, and Nico continued to swear, sucking on her finger and snatching at the Staff of One as it burst free of her body. It was tempting to just use the Staff to do the job for her…
But Nico liked sewing. It helped her relax.
So the Staff of One sat by her side as she got back to work.
