“It seems,” Xavin mused, “that Klara has integrated well with the group.”
Karolina followed her girlfriend’s gaze to see Nico stitching up the hem of the girl’s dress while Molly filled the newcomer in on everything she considered important that had happened since 1907.
“Nico’s always happy to have someone new to dress up,” she said. “I bet if you held still long enough and let her dress you, she’d like you just as much.”
Xavin considered Nico for a very long time before speaking again to Karolina. “There are many things I am willing to face. Letting Nico have any kind of say over what I wear is not one of them.”
Karolina laughed softly, gently elbowing Xavin in the ribs. “I bet you’d look fantastic in anything she made,” she said, twisting some of the Skrull’s hair around her fingers before letting it go.
“I would look fantastic in anything, beloved,” Xavin replied dryly. “As I recall, you think I look even better in absolutely nothing.”
Karolina blushed and giggled, squeezing Xavin’s hand.
