fullmetal_cute
Fandom: Runaways
Table/Prompt: Table 1/62. Appear
Character/Pairing: Our Heroes
Rating: PG
Word Count: 274
Summary: Who do they think they’re fooling, anyway?
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: I own nothing. Okay, two of the characters in this are mine, but I can’t even be bothered to give them names, so they don’t really count.
“I’d really like to know who they think they’re fooling.”
“Hm? Who?”
“The new neighbors. All those kids next door. You know, the super-heroes.”
“Oh, them.”
“Yes, them. Like we couldn’t see the lights from miles off--”
“Especially when you’ve got your binoculars pointed right at them…”
“—and did they completely forget that some of them were on TV for a while when people thought they’d killed that one girl? And the Dean kid is famous, for crying out loud. I know a lot of people say she looks like her mother, but I think it’s just because they’re both blondes. I think she looks more like her dad, especially when he was in that one movie with whats-her-face from The Exorcist. You know. The one with the creepy doll.”
“Darling, you need a hobby. One much less creepy.”
“I’m just keeping an eye on things. What if Magneto or someone like that shows up? We’d have to flee for our lives, and how could we do that if someone wasn’t paying attention? And just imagine what’ll happen to our property values!”
“There goes the neighborhood. You know, when most people want to watch teenage girls, they go to the internet.”
“I am not a pervert!”
“If the funny underwear fits…”
