Billy looking in the mirror, his lips pursing as he inspected his reflection. “I’m gonna kill him,” he told Kate with surprising calm. “I’m gonna kill him, and I’m gonna skin him, and I’m gonna wear his skin.”
“No, you won’t,” Kate told the irate spell caster. “You’re going to turn your hair black again, then you’re going to brood about this for a while. Then you’ll zap Tommy, and the two of you will bitch at each other. This will go on endlessly… or until Teddy gets back, and which point you will be far too busy to think about Tommy.”
Billy ran his fingers through the bleached strands of his hair. “Nope,” he said, “I’m gonna kill him. Slowly and painfully. It’ll probably involve a chainsaw at some point. So I’m gonna need plastic sheets or something to keep from making too big of a mess.”
