Billy Kaplan kept looking everywhere but at Johnny Storm – or at least, he tried to. Sadly, and much to his infinite embarrassment, his eyes kept sliding back to that perfectly toned body. It was (and Billy knew he was being overly poetic when he thought it) like looking at Michelangelo’s David brought to life.
“I’m – I – I am so sorry,” Billy said, still trying to find some place to look that wasn’t the gloriously nude Johnny Storm. He fumbled his cape free and thrust it out to the Human Torch, feeling heat creep up his neck and face.
“This doesn’t even make my top ten most embarrassing moments,” Johnny noted casually, taking the red cape and improvising a toga from it. “Relax, kid, it’s no big deal.”
Billy squeaked and nodded, glad that he could finally stop having to try to not look at the naked super-hero. “I’m so sorry,” he repeated.
“You keep saying that.”
