Summary: There’s some debate as to who’s side Tommy’s on.

“Swing batter batter swing swing swing!” Tommy chanted, going faster and faster until his voice was just a high pitched whine going too fast for anyone to understand. The only one who paid any attention was Eli, who turned to glare at the speedster in the outfield. “Shut up!”
At the home plate, Megan called, “are we playing or what?”
Eli turned back around, tossing the baseball into his glove. “We’re playing,” he said.
“Then pitch!” Santo called from the stands, where he had been exiled after detaching his hand to catch the ball.
“Pitch it right at your face,” Eli muttered, winding up.
The ball went right past the pink haired mutant, and she squeaked in surprise.
“Strike one!”
Eli did his best to ignore Tommy as he made disappointed noises and offered to console Megan after the game. The girl’s skin started to turn the same shade as her hair, and she adjusted her grip on the bat as Kate tossed the ball back to Eli. “Shut up, Tommy!”
“Who’s side are you on?” Billy sighed, pulling his baseball cap from his head and wiping the sweat from his forehead.
Teddy laughed. “Whatever side gets him laid?” he suggested.
By now, Megan was bright red and glaring at Tommy, much like Eli was. “Jerk!”
“Whaaat?” Tommy raced to Megan’s side, pouting and invading her personal space. “What did I do?”
“Get back to the outfield, Tommy,” Kate sighed, “and stop hitting on people until the game is over, got me?”
