Author:
fullmetal_cute
Fandom: X-Men
Table/Prompt: Table 3/47. Defenseless
Character/Pairing: Jonas Greymalkin, Victor Borkowski
Rating: PG
Word Count: 235
Summary: Greymalkin doesn’t actually like the dark that much… but he hates the light so much more.
Authors Notes/Disclaimer: I own nothing. I’m just taking a stab at trying to make Greymalkin interesting.
Jonas Greymalkin hated the dark for all the years he’d been trapped in it, left for dead. He hated the dark for making him the thing he was, for denying him any kind of normalcy, even in this strange new world that he was in, where he was trying to make a new life.
But he hated the blindingly bright light more. The monsters that called themselves human were keeping him trapped in a cell with no shadows for him to hide in.
He wished that they would just kill him already. A quick death would have been so much better than this horrible bright hell.
When all the lights went out, it was such a shock that Greymalkin didn’t even realize it for almost five minutes.
It was Victor’s voice that snapped him out of it. “Jonas? Are you alright?”
Greymalkin stirred, large white eyes finding the outline of the reptilian mutant, standing at the door of his cell. It was dark out there, too, beside the faint red glow of the emergency light.
“Yes,” he sighed.
