Billy Kaplan had a feeling that he had missed his chance with Victor Borkowski. The reptilian mutant had been around for ages, making puppy eyes at him while he was with Teddy. When had that changed? Had Victor made some kind of choice, or had he just changed his mind? Either way, he didn’t look at Billy the way he used to.
In one of the less charitable portions of his mind, he wondered if it might have something to do with the fact that Billy was actually available now.
Or maybe Victor’s feelings had just changed over the years.
Either way, Billy felt like he’d missed out on something.
