Emma leaned over the side of the crib and gently fingered her son’s honey brown hair. “I’ve got so much to show you, Christian,” she whispered. “So many things you’ve never seen before, my little love. I wonder what you’ll make of it.”
She watched the baby boy sleep, staying where she was in spite of her other duties.
