Working with Querl Dox was a means to an end, at first. She scratched his proverbial back, he scratched hers. He'd saved everything she held dear, and he'd given her a purpose.
It was satisfying.
And there was something very amusing about being the Legion's myth. She was almost sad to give it up to stop the madman who destroyed the headquarters. But the look on Lyle's face had almost been worth it, and the look on Karate Kid's face when Lyle introduced them had definitely been worth it.
She liked Lyle. He was cute, like a puppy. And he made Querl happy.
Lyle was her new special project.
