“I like you,” Nate said, actually putting some real meaning into the words as he clapped the precog on the shoulder. “I don’t even know your name, and I like you.”
“Well, that’s comforting,” the precog muttered, looking at the hand with deep suspicion. Nate’s position as a rather cruel prankster was well known, even to the newest agent of SWORD.
“I’m serious. People like you give me hope for the future.” Nate threw his head back in a genuine laugh, something that raised the hairs on the back of the precog’s neck.
“You are a genuinely creepy guy, Altman-Kaplan.”
