Y’know, Kat Farrell thought as she inspected the badge pinned to her jacket, I don’t think I’ve ever had security clearance before.

She picked up her tape recorder and went through the exit procedures that SHIELD and the Initiative insisted on, mulling over the interviews and writing the article in her head.

It had been… interesting. Dr. Pym had been full of dry facts and rhetoric, and the kids had been full of, as her grandfather would put it, vim and vigor. She had no doubt that she was only being allowed to meet the ones who had been prepared for the interview, and were the ‘good’ ones.

The most interesting one had been Stature, which had ended abruptly when Kat had started asking about the status of the other Young Avengers.

There was a lot going on that nobody was talking about, and Kat was going to get to the bottom of it.
