Summary: Somebody had the bright idea of trying to reinact Sleeping Beauty with Noriko in the title role. David is not pleased with this.

David sat down beside Noriko’s inert body, pushing his goggles up so they rested on top of his head and rubbing the bridge of his nose. “This,” he said, “has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of.”
“You get used to it after a while,” Dani offered. “I used to be a Valkerie, after all. What’s so hard to accept about evil fairies?”
“But it’s so… clichéd.”
“I’ll go find someone else to do this, if you’d prefer,” his former advisor offered, somehow managing to keep a straight face when the ex-mutant glared at her.
“I’ll do it. I’m doing it under protest, but I’m doing it.”
