Emthatt turned to look at Ayla, his expression unreadable. “He is a good friend, and he’ll make you happy.”
Ayla made a disgusted noise. “That’s not what I meant and you know it.”
“He is a good friend,” he brother repeated, his face as calm as a still pond, “and he will make you happy.”
