Haruhi turned a faintly puzzled frown on Kasanoda as the future Yakuza boss fingered the ends of his hair. “There’s nothing wrong with it,” she said. “I like the color.”
Kasanoda’s skin turned pink. “Really?”
Haruhi’s reply was a wordless snort, and Kasanoda gave her an apologetic grin. Of course she meant it. Haruhi never said something she didn’t mean.
“Maybe I should get it cut,” he said tentatively.
“Why?” Haruhi asked.
All Kasanoda could do was shrug. He wasn’t about to blurt out the idea he’d had of giving her a bracelet made from his hair.
