Norman Osborne II felt May Parker's arms wrapped around him, warm and gentle. His hands came up to grip her forearms, just hard enough to leave more bruises. She rested her chin on his shoulder, whispering reassurances and stroking his hair. She was there, his pillar of strength.
"It's going to be okay, Normie," she whispered as he cried. "It's all going to be okay now."
And he knew it would be. Because she was there.
