Nemu could hear the Quincy demanding that her father stop, but it seemed such a long ways away. She should have been able to hear perfectly, even in her damaged state, but she was weak.
Her lord, her maker, her father had built something perfect, but somehow she made it flawed. He did this only to find and fix the flaws, not that the Quincy would understand. He demanded perfection, and she was failing him.
The Quincy drew her father’s attention back to himself, and Nemu watched the battle as best she could. He was… impressive. Powerful. He almost defeated her father.
Almost.
Nemu wished she could be that strong.
