Title: Fall So Far
Fandom: Loners
Characters: Johnny Gallo, Cassie St. Commons
Prompt: 9. Fallen
Word Count:
Rating: PG
Summary: Cassie’s not very impressed with Johnny’s new life.
Author's Notes: I own nothing.
"Wow. This is just kind of sad."
Micky scowled and stood up, facing the woman who had just come down the stairs of the church basement. The newcomer looked at the assembled ex-superheroes with mild amusement. She was dressed in artfully ripped up jeans and a faded Nirvana tee-shirt, and her hair had the kind of inky blackness that only came in bottles. She carried herself with an arrogant confidence as she looked down at them from her perch on the last stair.
"Can I help you?"
The woman looked Micky over, the stud in her nose flashing in the florecent light. "Doubt it."
"Cass?" Johnny asked, scrambling out of his chair. She favored him with a genuine grin and a nod. "Holy crap, what happened to you? What are you doing here?"
"Looking for you." Cassie looked around again, then dismissed the rest of the members of the support group with a roll of her overly made up eyes. "You wanna get out of here and catch up?"
Johnny grabbed his jacket off the back of his chair and gave his friends and fellow ex-heroes an apologetic grin. "Uh, see you all next week?"
