“It feels like…” Johnny chewed on his lower lip, looking around at his fellow former teen superheroes. “It’s like I’m waiting for my real life to start. This is just a strange prelude to what my life is supposed to be, and soon I’ll be on my way.” He raked his hands through his hair, idly thinking that maybe it was time to get it trimmed. “I’m not even twenty-five yet. This can’t be all that my life is going to be, you know? But it’s like I’m stuck in a holding pattern, and I can’t seem to drag myself out.”
