“Now, I ain’t lookin’ for no trouble,” Sam said, looking at the assemblage of his younger siblings, his eyes lingering on Joshua and Jeb, since they were the ones most likely to make the trouble Sam wanted to avoid. “I have here in this backpack Spongebob Squarepants and a DVD player. Y’all are gonna watch it and keep quiet. Right?”
“I hate Spongebob. He’s creepy!” Melody piped up, peering out from around Paige’s legs.
“Spongebob’s for babies!” Jeb added.
Sam sighed softly, wishing summer was over already.
