Gaara wrapped the ends of Hinata’s hair around his fingers, enjoying the silky smooth texture. He almost smiled as Hinata slept, comfortable enough with the Sand-nin to trust him not to murder her while she was vulnerable.
He draped an arm across her waist and kissed the side of her neck, silently thanking Naruto for being too stupid to recognize Hinata for the jewel that she was.
