Summary: “Do you trust me?”
Author's Notes: I own nothing.
“Do you trust me?” Gaara called to Hinata over the howling wind from across the gorge.
Hinata stared back at the impossibly tiny figure of the Kazekage, the wind whipping her hair into her face. There was no way she could leap the gorge on her own, and if she tried, it would be a quick death on the rocks below for her.
“I won’t let you fall, Hinata!” Gaara said as if he were reading her mind. He stretched out a hand as if to grab her. “I’ll catch you!”
Hinata gulped and took a few steps back, working up a good running start and willing the charka into her feet to give herself an extra push. Her momentum ran out half way across the chasm, where she landed on a rock hard bridge of sand. The Hyuuga girl raced across the bridge, towards Gaara.
