Sometimes, when Victor Mancha got bored, he would explore the Hostel. It wasn't something the others did much, though Molly sometimes tagged along. The others had no desire to find the remains of their parents' secret lives. It was too painful for them.

Not so for Victor. To him, the Pride was just a bunch of pictures on a wall and the occasional anecdote.

Molly was the only one who would talk about her parents with any kind of affection. Which was probably why she would go along with Vic on his expeditions. She reveled in the chance to find cool stuff and show it to the rest.

Sometimes they found things they didn't share with the rest. Personal things of their parents.

The day Molly found her baby pictures; Victor held her and let her cry herself out. It was weeks before she went exploring with him again.
