Title: Missing
Prompt: 70. '300 days I've counted, almost a year. A year of missing you' -- A Winter's Poem, Leaves' Eyes
Fandom: Young Avengers
Rating: G
Notes: Teddy's missing something.
Teddy looked at the clock, then at the calendar on the wall. With a hand that trembled slightly, he marked a scarlet X through the day, then turned away. In his mind, he could hear Captain America's words from earlier that day.
"It's been a year, son. I know it's hard to accept, but if he was coming back-"
Teddy had broken his jaw.
They wanted to set up a memorial statue for Billy.
But Billy wasn't dead. Just missing on some other plane of existence. Wherever he'd sent that thing back to. He'd be back. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be dead.
With that thought firmly lodged in his mind, Teddy climbed into his too-large bed and stared at the ceiling until his eyes drifted closed.
