It wasn’t love. Megan and Tommy had agreed on that. They were just having some fun together and when it was done, it wasn’t gonna be any big thing. That’s what they both kept telling themselves and each other. Love was just way too much trouble when you were fighting interplanetary terrorists and homicidal maniac’s. They’d both seen what happened whenever someone hurt Billy or Teddy, or when a relationship ended and two people just couldn’t work together any more or do the super-hero thing at all because they were too caught up in their own emotions, and neither of them wanted to be involved in anything like that.
Besides. Tommy didn’t do feelings, and Megan was too much of a free spirit to ever get tied down to anyone.
