"This is foolish and archaic and I do not know how you convinced me to go with you," Querl hissed under his breath, just the latest part of his long winded commentary on the foolishness of lesser intellects and their courtship rituals. Nura just nodded every few minutes to indicate that she was listening (even though she wasn't). In fact, she didn't even notice when he finally had stopped talking until something ping'ed in her mind.
Glancing out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Querl was watching watching her, frowning slightly as his eyebrows drew together.
"I'm not the one you're supposed to be watching," Nura whispered, nodding towards the general direction of the happy couple. Querl grunted, pressing a kiss to her temple before resuming his quiet tirade.
