Rowena prided herself on being a woman who would try anything once. At her age, the social mores of the mortals meant little to her. Which explained why there was a girl with her head between Rowena’s legs, her hot, wet mouth pressing kisses higher and higher on her thigh. Rowena watched the girl with a largely academic interest. Her hair was an unnatural shade of blonde, and it felt brittle to the touch. Her fingers were warm as they stroked Rowena’s other leg. She raised her head, catching Rowena’s eye. “You’re a million miles away,” she said.
“I’m right here,” Rowena assured her, dropping one leg over the girl’s shoulder.
“Well,” she said with an impish smile, “I know how to get your full attention.”
