Kaldur’ahm hung upside down above the couch, swinging back and forth slightly as he studied the snare around his ankles. He didn’t even sigh, thought he was highly tempted to. He just took hold of the hand of his water bearers, letting one watery blade slice through the rope. He could hear Robin giggling as he fell, twisting to land on his feet. The movie would have been far simpler, far more graceful in the water. On land, without the support of the ocean, the move was awkward. To a surface dweller, the move would have looked smooth and easy, but to Kaldur is felt so awkward. He landed on his feet on the couch, then sat down.
“Alright. You’ve had your fun.”
Robin vaulted over the back of the couch, landing easily next to Kaldur. “How was Atlantis?”
Kaldur looked at the younger boy, one corner of his mouth turning up for a moment. “Enlightening.”
