“See, Cuddlebumps?” Toad said, spreading his arms wide. “Nice, isn’t it?”
‘It’ was a picnic lunch spread out at his feet. The blanket was even a nice one, a lovely shade of pale blue. Unfortunately, it was spread out on top of someone’s grave, with Toad perched on top of the stone. Wanda glared at him, then at everything around her, arms crossed over her chest defensively. “I’m not eating in a graveyard, Toad.”
“Don’t you like it?” Toad whined, looking not unlike a slimy version of a kicked puppy.
“It’s creepy. Even by your standards,” she snapped.
“I thought you liked creepy!”
“I’m going home,” Wanda muttered, marching off with Toad trailing along behind her, lunch forgotten.
