Becca’s fingers tightened on Bobby’s arm, so much so that it actually hurt. “Ow! What? What is it now?”
Becca hauled her brother into the janitor’s closet and shoved him against the wall. “Why doesn’t Megan remember that I’m Protean? She saw me when we rescued her from that Kree who wanted to trade her for you!”
Bobby rubbed the back of his neck. “I made her forget.”
“You mindwiped your girlfriend?”
“Eh… ex-girlfriend, actually. We broke up after she started demanding answers about the whole Kree thing.”
“Robert Stephan Altman-Kaplan!”
Bobby would have backed away from his sister if he could have. “It was for her protection, and ours!”
“Pop is gonna freak.”
Bobby rolled his eyes. “He freaks about everything.”
