Megan leaned against her bedroom door and shivered, chafing her arms with her hands. She didn’t think she could take any more of everyone’s pity. They were all so relieved that they’d rescued her from Limbo before Illyana could take all of her soul, and since it had only been a few minutes for them, they were still looking at her like the girl she had been, and expected her to just slip back into that old skin.
“Oh God,” she whispered, closing her eyes as she tilted her head back. She didn’t want to think about this, she wanted-
“Illyana…”
Megan knew that she’d left more than just most of her soul behind when she’d escaped Limbo. She already found herself missing the way Illyana smelled, the way she’d touched her…
“Oh God, Illyana…”
