Lillian opened the window and swung a leg over the sill. Henry's hair wrapped around her waist, tugging her back in and closing the window. “You don't have to sneak out in the middle of the night.”
Lillian smacked at the green tendrils. “I do if I don't want to be the center of gossip for the next week.” Henry tweaked Lillian's shirt, and the girl made an irritated noise. “Stop that!” she said. “You and your tentacles.”
“They're not tentacles!” Henry protested. “Tentacles are more... naughty.”
“You don't think these aren't naughty? They seem pretty damn naughty to me. You letting go? I need to get back to my room.”
Henry hummed a few bars, tugging Lillian back towards the bed and himself. “Baby, it's cold outside,” he sang.
“It's the middle of summer.”
“You don't have a romantic bone in your body, do you, Lil?” Henry asked, clearly becoming exasperated.
