Victor was surprised to find Billy waiting outside the infirmary, an amazingly pissed off look distorting his features. “That was the dumbest thing you’ve ever done,” he said, his lips pulling back from his teeth in a snarl. “What the hell did you think you were doing?”
Victor pressed a hand to the stitched up wound that ran from his lower rib cage to his hip. He looked down briefly, then back up at Billy. “Dying poetically for someone I love?” he suggested.
“Dying for love,” Billy said coldly, “is beautiful, but stupid.”
