Victor was more than a little bit drunk and leaning heavily on Billy as he tried to walk. “I don’t want to fall in love with you again,” he sighed as Billy looped an arm around his waist in an effort to keep him steady.
“Never wanted to hurt you,” Billy murmured back, his breath brushing Victor’s ear, making him shiver.
“You did,” Victor told him. “Tore my heart right out. ‘s not fair.”
“We can try again, can’t we?”
Victor reached up unsteadily and combed his fingers through Billy’s hair. “We could,” he agreed.
